Description

“A sweet present” shows a cupcake with a swirl of cream and a red cherry, the word CupCake stitched above it.

What the picture shows

The cupcake case is worked in ochre and warm beige with diagonal ribs and a toothed top edge. Above it the cream curls in three waves, from pale cream to caramel, laid so that the spiral shows. A large red cherry sits on the peak with a thin brown stalk arching upward. To the right of the stalk the word CupCake is written in dark brown — thin cursive letters worked in backstitch. There are only five colours, so the design rests on shifts of beige and one bright red accent. The white Aida around it is left unstitched. It is finished in a round acrylic frame with magnetic tape.
