In “A holiday romance” a ginger and a grey kitten peer out of a thicket of sunflowers by the sea.

What the picture shows

The sunflowers are set in cream beads with orange petal tips, their centres filled with dark brown beads in a ring — there are five such blooms in the piece. The leaves are run in green beads in broad strokes. The cats' faces stay printed: the smiling ginger one on the left, the striped grey one on the right with blue ears and yellow eyes. Behind them lies a blue sea, its waves marked by dashes of dark blue beads, with a white sailing boat crossing it. A red and white striped lighthouse stands on an islet to the right. Clouds drift above, gathered from white pearls with a blue bead in the middle.
