Description

“A basket of happiness” shows a small bear carrying a woven basket full of red hearts.

What the picture shows

The basket on the right is built from bands of yellow and amber beads, with red and pink hearts spilling over its rim. The bear is outlined in golden beads, with a small beaded bow on its head and a paw through the handle. Hearts of different sizes are scattered around: red outlines, a solid cluster of red beads on the left, lilac and pink ones below. The background is a warm peach-beige with soft printed patches, and it is left unbeaded, as is the bear's body. The hearts differ in technique: some are filled solid, others only outlined — at this size the difference shows and adds depth. The basket is worked in bands from the bottom up.
