Description

“Fearless Gaze” is a bib necklace shaped as an owl's face with large round eyes.

What the picture shows

The necklace has the outline of a shield with a pointed tip at the bottom — which is also the owl's chin. The eyes are worked in rings: a black pupil, a bright blue circle, an orange-yellow rim and a dark border, so the gaze reads from a distance. A pale feathered ruff rises between the eyes, and a turquoise-grey beak sits below. The ground around them is deep blue with copper and azure sparks, beaded in fine rows that follow the curve. The canvas is covered completely. Sixteen colours give a transition from almost black blue to ochre and turquoise. The feathers on the cheeks are worked in short rows laid as a fan, which makes the face look round.
