Description

Collar "Rose Veil" is a collar with large pink and lilac flowers on a white ground.

What the picture shows

Each half is filled with open blooms the size of a palm: pink roses with a darker heart, lilac anemones with yellow stamens and smaller buds between them. The leaves are dark green with a cool cast; they hold the composition together and keep it from spreading. The ground is worked in white beads, against which every petal has its own gradation from near white to raspberry. The canvas is covered completely and the edge runs as an even pale row. Twenty-four colours — the largest palette among the collars in the series. The blooms overlap, leaving almost no white gaps between them.
