Bead Embroidery Bookmark Kit "Idioms"

“Idioms” sets butterflies over flowers beside two quotations about dreams; the title plays on both wings and words.

What the picture shows

The top of the front is taken by a large blue-violet butterfly with a turquoise sheen, and under it an open pink-and-yellow flower with fine yellow stamens, flanked by two smaller turquoise butterflies. Across the middle, in violet handwriting, runs a line saying that in dreams and in love nothing is impossible, and the foot is closed by another butterfly above a heart-shaped rosette. The reverse holds a violet butterfly and a pink rose at the top, two short quotations in the middle, and blue irises with a butterfly below. The background is a soft lilac-and-blue wash. The beads work the wings, the flowers, the rosettes and the border, while the background stays printed on the canvas. A lilac beaded tassel hangs from the bottom corner.
