Decorative flags and photo frames is a group of 17 kits with one thing in common: the result stands or hangs in a room rather than in a picture frame. A flag is a small 90×130 mm pennant on a ribbon; a photo frame is an embroidered surround for a photograph, from 215×160 to 380×310 mm.
Two groups
- Flags — 10 kits, 90×130 mm, easy level, 5–12 colours, 3–5 hours of work.
- Photo frames — 7 kits, larger formats, up to 25 colours, three of them rated advanced.
What is included
Artist canvas with the full-colour design printed on it, Czech Preciosa beads, a needle, the findings for assembly and illustrated instructions.
Subjects
Romantic motifs (8 kits), decorative designs (5), flowers (3) and still life (1). Flags are most often chosen for wedding or party décor, frames as a gift around a photograph.
Questions and answers
Is the ribbon included with a flag kit?
Yes, the findings for assembly come with the kit.
Can any photograph go into a finished frame?
The aperture is a fixed size given in the kit's specifications, so the photograph is chosen to fit it.
How long does a photo frame take?
From 15 to 40 hours depending on the format and colour count; three kits are rated advanced.
Are these suitable for a beginner?
The flags are. Larger photo frames are better attempted once you have one or two finished pieces behind you.
