Questions and answers

How long does a miniature take?

20–35 hours. A beginner makes 80–120 stitches an hour, an experienced stitcher 150–250.

How many strands on 14 count?

Usually two strands of floss. The exact recommendation is in the kit instructions.

Do I need a hoop?

Yes. Aida is soft, and without even tension the stitches come out different sizes. A 15–20 cm round hoop is enough.

How do I finish a miniature?

The 150×150 mm format fits standard frames. Before framing, wash the piece, dry it flat and press it from the back.
