Embroidery needles differ not in length but in thickness and in the shape of the point. That is what decides whether the needle passes through a bead and whether it splits the threads of the fabric. Three types are stocked here: beading, microbead and tapestry.

Questions and answers
Can I use an ordinary sewing needle for bead embroidery?
No. The eye of a sewing needle is thicker than the hole in a Preciosa size 10 bead, so it either will not pass or splits the bead.
Why is the cross stitch needle blunt?
So it passes between the threads of the fabric rather than through them. A sharp needle splits the Aida thread and the stitch comes out crooked.
How often should a needle be replaced?
When it starts to drag or darkens: the plating wears off and the needle catches the thread.
Is a needle included in the kits?
Yes, every Abris Art kit contains one. These are bought as spares or replacements.
