Description

“Fruit Euphoria” is a pink cocktail in a coupe glass, with strawberries and white blossoms around it — a light summer still life kept in a pastel pink range.

What the picture shows

At the centre stands a wide glass on a slim stem, filled with a pink drink; a sugar rim of tiny pale beads runs around the edge with droplets hanging from it. A large strawberry with a green calyx is perched on the rim, and three more berries lie below — red, speckled with white seeds, one of them cut to show a pale centre. White flowers open at both sides, with pink and lilac shadows on the petals and yellow stamens, and small green leaves between them. The background is soft pink and lilac brushwork with no separate subject; it stays as print, while the beads take the glass, the berries and the flowers, so the shine of the crystal and the deep red of the fruit come forward.
