Main Bead Embroidery Kit The oracle between day and night
Description
“The oracle between day and night” shows an owl split exactly in half: one side belongs to day, the other to night. The composition is symmetrical and almost heraldic.
What the picture shows
The left half of the canvas is light and cream: a gold sun with rays above the owl, six- and eight-pointed stars around it, a pale tree and white flowers below. The right half is dark grey: a thin gold crescent, small stars, dark firs. The plumage is divided the same way — warm russet with ochre and cream on the left, black-grey with silver on the right. The eyes are large and orange with black rims. The owl sits on a branch above a round medallion holding a coniferous forest. The microbeads carry the stars and the fine ornament, and the decorative bicone glass is set at a few points that catch the light hardest. The breast feathers are laid scale by scale, row after row, so their texture differs clearly from the smooth wings and the flat background.
