Description

“Heavenly delight” is a tropical bouquet on a black background: hibiscus, a lily, sharp heliconia spikes and palm leaves gathered into a dense, generous arrangement.

What the picture shows

At the centre is a pink hibiscus with wavy petals, a paler almost-white one below it, and to the left an orange-pink lily open wide with long stamens. Red and yellow spikes and a fan of green foliage rise at the top, while blue and turquoise leaves and small coral sprigs are tucked between the flowers. The petals are beaded in rows that follow the veins, so the light shifts gradually across them. The black background stays as print on the canvas, and that is exactly where the beadwork glows brightest.
