Description

“Cherish Traditions” shows a nest of thin twigs holding three painted eggs, with a symmetrical carpet of tulips and white blossoms growing around it. The subject is Easter, arranged like an ornament.

What the picture shows

The nest is laid in long pale stitches that interlace like real willow. Inside it are three eggs: a yellow one with a geometric pattern, a white one with small meadow flowers, and a turquoise one with a ribbon running round it. Red and peach tulips and white blooms with broad green leaves grow at the sides, above and below, and the whole plant border repeats in mirror image on both halves. The dark grey background stays as print on the canvas and lets the flowers come forward.
