Main Bead Embroidery Kit Remembering traditions
Description
“Remembering traditions” is a symmetrical floral ornament in a folk idiom: a lavish bouquet built strictly as a mirror image around a central axis, set on a pale ground.
What the picture shows
The composition grows from the bottom up. First come large pink and crimson flowers with dark centres, then a tier of violet and lilac buds, and the whole thing is crowned by a stylised bellflower wearing a small crown. Between the blooms are scattered feathery green leaves, blue berries, little hearts and curling tendrils. The palette rests on three groups: hot pink-crimson, violet and juicy grass green, while dark navy, almost black beads act as an outline and give the ornament its crispness. Each petal is worked in rows that follow its shape, so the flowers come out rounded rather than flat. The background is pale canvas with a barely visible printed rose pattern; it stays unstitched and works as air around the ornament, which lets the bouquet read as one whole sign. To the left and right of the axis every element repeats its pair exactly, so the ornament stays perfectly balanced.
