Main Bead Embroidery Kit The cycle
Description
“The cycle” shows a shoal of golden fish circling a white coral tree in deep blue water. A narrow vertical canvas with a real sense of spiral movement.
What the picture shows
The background is built from shifts of blue: emerald green at the edges, turquoise towards the centre, almost ink-dark in the depths. A white-blue coral branch spreads through the middle, reading at once like a tree and like frost. Dozens of fish line up in a ring around it, stitched in golden amber beads with darker backs, all turned the same way, so the shoal reads as a single current. A few silvery blue fish swim against it and break the rhythm. Small pale dots and sparks are scattered through the water, and dark weed shows near the bottom. Thirteen bead colours are enough because the whole work rests on two ranges: cool blue and warm gold. The tails and fins of the fish are drawn in separate stitches, so the shoal never looks flat. The background stays as print on the canvas — beadwork covers the fish, the coral and the sparks, and those are exactly what glow against the matte surface.
