Main Bead Embroidery Kit Constellation Tiger
Description
“Constellation Tiger” is a tiger's head built from geometric facets that dissolves on one side into a star constellation drawn in thread. The work is modern and minimal.
What the picture shows
The background is an even dark grey with no detail at all, so all the attention goes to the silhouette. The tiger's face is assembled from polygons of varying size: warm orange, cream and pink facets down the centre and across the muzzle, cool blue, steel and violet ones towards the edges. The eyes are yellow-green and stay the brightest point in the picture. The right side of the head gradually loses density: the facets darken to blue and near black, then break apart into thin lines strung between white bead stars. Those lines are worked in decorative threads, so they look like a real constellation chart drawn on the canvas. Twenty-seven bead colours give smooth transitions inside the facets; the overall bead count is modest because the background is not stitched at all. The left half of the face stays densely stitched, so the contrast between the solid side and the side broken into stars reads at first glance. Beads cover only the facets, the threads and the stars, while the grey ground stays as print.
