Description

“Мagnolia” shows three large magnolia flowers on one branch and a single bud in the top right corner. The mood is quiet and slightly nostalgic — the way the tree blooms in early spring, before the leaves appear.

What the picture shows

The petals are creamy white with a warm pink and peach tint at the base and along the edges. Each one is beaded along its contour, row after row, so the flower reads as rounded and the pearly sheen follows every curve. Small golden-green beads mark the centres, while the thin branch and the narrow leaves are stitched in green, olive and bronze. The background — a warm ochre surface with patina and blurred vertical bands of sand and brown — stays as print on the artist canvas. That is why the pale flowers step forward while the background works as a calm, muted shadow behind them. The bud at the top is beaded in the same creamy tones but more densely, so next to the open flowers it looks tightly furled and not yet awake.
