Main Bead Embroidery Kit Moon phases
Description
“Moon phases” shows four states of the night luminary stitched one under another on dark grey canvas: from a thin crescent to the full disc.
What the picture shows
The composition is narrow and tall. The thinnest crescent sits at the top, grows steadily as the eye travels down, and the row ends with a full circle. The lunar surface is worked as a mosaic of blue, cobalt, turquoise, white and sandy gold beads: shades sit side by side with no soft gradients, which makes the disc look mottled, like a real moon with its seas and craters. The edges are laid in an even outline, so each phase keeps a crisp silhouette instead of blurring out. On the full disc, lighter rings radiate from the centre and read as mountain ridges. The background is left entirely unbeaded: the grey canvas stays bare, which sharpens the rhythm of the four shapes. Even gaps of grey canvas are left between the phases, so the row reads as a calm sequence rather than a continuous band.
