Description

“Rules of the house” is a chalkboard-style panel: white handwritten lettering on a deep black ground. All of the text is in Ukrainian.

What the picture shows

The heading “Правила дому” (House rules) runs across the top in large calligraphic letters framed by curls and a little heart. Below it fifteen numbered rules are laid out: hold your head high, respect one another, always tell the truth, dream big, do what you love, never give up, laugh a lot, forgive even when it is hard, start every day with a smile, do not be lazy, give hugs and kisses, say thank you and please, believe in yourself, keep your promises. A large heart at the centre reads “Кохати одне одного” — love one another. Small drawings are scattered between the lines: arrows, a sun, wavy lines, dotted rules and stars. The lettering and the decor are beaded in light beads, and the black ground stays as print.
