Description

“Made from a miracle” is a festive hand-lettered phrase set among flowers, butterflies and a hot-air balloon. The mood is childlike and dreamy, like a page from a keepsake album.

What the picture shows

The canvas is vertical and the background is a pale watercolour wash in pink, blue and yellow that stays as print. The words are laid out in large cursive letters of brown-amber beads, and they hold the centre of the composition. Motifs are scattered around them: a sun with long rays at the top, a striped balloon in blue, red and green, a small flock of blue birds and white paper planes. A flower border runs along the bottom — red tulips, blue irises, daisies, crocuses and long green leaves. On the right stand a treasure chest, an open book, a blue inkwell and a dandelion. Small butterflies and dots are spread across the whole field.
