Main Bead Embroidery Kit Tea map
Description
“Tea map” is a sampler of twelve separate cells, each holding a different tea or drink with its name. It is a collector’s piece: twelve small still lifes in one frame.
What the picture shows
The vertical canvas is divided into a 3×4 grid. The cells hold a teapot with a cup, a tall jug, a cup with chamomile, a cup with blackberries, a ginger teapot, a cup with a pear, a glass of tea with a cinnamon stick, a cup of vanilla cream, a peach dessert, a white floral teapot, a cup and saucer with a spoon, and a tall fruit glass. Each square has its own background — pink, lilac, mint, ochre, pale blue — with the name of the drink beaded beside it. The whole grid is framed by a green ivy branch and a pink border. The palette is very wide and softly pastel; beads cover the objects, the lettering and the frames, while the coloured backing panels stay as print.
