Description

“Lace dreams” is a dreamcatcher with a large openwork circle and three white feathers hanging below. It is a decorative piece in a warm ochre palette.

What the picture shows

The canvas is vertical and the background is a textured ochre-orange wall that stays as print. The dense circle at the top is built from several rows of petals: black beads along the edges, gold and sand tones inside, and a large clear hemisphere stone at the centre with fine rays radiating from it. The circle reads as a lace rosette with the ground showing through. Three feathers hang below, stitched in white and pearl beads with clearly laid barbs, and between them run strands of small beads alternating turquoise and copper dots. Pearls and large beads add volume, so the whole hanging really does look as if it could sway.
