Main Bead Embroidery Kit Gourmet alphabet
Description
“Gourmet alphabet” is a sampler built as a food alphabet, where every letter gets its own dish or drink with an English caption. It looks like an open page from an old recipe notebook.
What the picture shows
The canvas is divided into rectangular panels of different sizes, each with its own subject: a plate of appetizers, a braided challah, a glass of Chablis, a cup of espresso, a chocolate-dipped strawberry, a wheel of gouda, a chocolate cake labelled Dessert, a mug of Irish coffee, coffee beans, a bottle and glass of red wine, olives, pasta, a quiche, an apple dessert with ice cream, a fish, a tomato, bunches of grapes, a cup of hot wassail, a yam and the words bon appétit!. The palette is warm — browns, terracotta, cream and grey with checked inserts. Beadwork covers the food and the letters, while the panel backgrounds stay as print. The panels of different sizes lock into a grid with no gaps, so the work can be done piece by piece, one square at a time. The captions are stitched separately, letter by letter, in fine beads.
