Description

“Inseparable” shows two budgerigars on a cherry branch under a full moon. Yellow-and-orange on the left, blue-and-turquoise on the right, heads tilted together. The background is a watercolour sweep from rose dawn through violet into deep night blue, with petals drifting across it.

What the picture shows

The design rests on the contrast between one warm and one cool bird at its centre. The plumage is beaded densely, with gradients running inside each feather, and the cherry blossom uses pink and white beads in mixed sizes. The falling petals and the haze around the moon are worked in Preciosa #13 microbeads in four colours — that is where the glow comes from.
