Description

“Cozy little world” shows a fairytale town sheltering under one big umbrella while the rain comes down around it. The subject is exactly what the title says: a small hideaway where it is dry and warm.

What the picture shows

At the centre stands a cluster of blue-and-lilac houses with pointed turrets, round windows and light inside, growing together into a single castle on a green hill. A huge umbrella opens above them — orange-pink on top, warm yellow underneath, its slim handle running out to the left beside a bare little tree. The rain falls in even beaded threads, and round blue and turquoise clouds drift across the sky. Below, the hill is covered with fluffy hydrangea balls in pink, blue, lilac and green. A pale lantern hangs on a thread at the right. Beads cover the houses, the umbrella, the flowers and the clouds, while the blue swirls of the background stay as print on the canvas.
