Description

“Bluebird of Happiness” is the largest and most demanding kit in this range. A fairy-tale bird with its tail fully spread flies over a night city towards a great moon; sailing boats sit on the sea to the right, golden keys and heart-shaped padlocks hang in the sky to the left. The tail fills almost half the canvas and shifts from orange and gold through turquoise into violet.

What the picture shows

The tail is where the work is: every feather has its own pattern with an eye at the centre, peacock style. Three materials come together here. Large Preciosa #6 beads (17 pcs) sit in the feather centres, #13 microbeads in five colours carry the glow of the moon and the star dust, and glass leaves in two shapes (6 pcs) are fixed into the plumage. The city below and the boats stay as painting.
