Main Bead Embroidery Kit Three elephants for happiness
Description
“Three elephants for happiness” shows three elephants stacked into a pyramid, from the largest at the bottom to the smallest on top. Each one is covered with dense Indian ornament built from flowers, dots, petals and mandalas.
What the picture shows
The bottom elephant stands in profile and fills the whole width of the canvas: a caparison with pink and turquoise flowers lies across its back, crimson patterning covers its ears, and its trunk curves downward. The middle elephant is a little smaller, with a large green and red triangle on its flank edged with beads and golden curls on its ears. The smallest elephant sits right at the top, its raised trunk crowned with a red tassel. The colours run from crimson and fuchsia to emerald, turquoise, orange and purple. The background is pale and faintly green, worked in thin strokes, and it stays as print on the canvas, so all the beadwork is concentrated on the elephants themselves.
