Description

“Forever summer” is a glass cloche with a whole summer garden kept underneath it: a bird, ferns, flowers and a tiny house. The background around the dome is dark grey, so everything inside it glows with warmth.

What the picture shows

A tall glass bell stands in the centre of the canvas on a carved base stitched in turquoise and white beads with a lace-like edge. Inside there is a pink bird in flight, butterflies, a small orange ball-shaped tree, green fern fronds, red and yellow blossoms, and between them a lantern and a little building. Strawberries, a shell and an orange flower lie at the foot of the dome. The field around it is covered with a grey printed botanical pattern scattered with stitched accents: red berries, mint leaves, pink twigs. Below runs the wording Forever summer, its first letter picked out in gold beads. The print stays as the grey background while the beads carry all the colour.
