Main Bead Embroidery Kit Under the colored skies
Description
“Under the colored skies” is a fairy-tale town of crooked, brightly coloured houses stacked on top of one another. Hot-air balloons drift above the roofs, and laundry hangs between the windows.
What the picture shows
The houses are built up in tiers: a yellow one with green shutters, a turquoise one, a terracotta one, a violet one with a tall vaulted window. The roofs are sometimes sloped, sometimes curved, and the walls drift slightly, as if drawn freehand. Lines strung between the houses carry shirts and sheets in many colours. Above, in a pink-and-lilac sky, four balloons float — white with red stripes, rainbow, yellow-green, and a small pink one far to the left. Below is a green slope with flowers, a bench and a wooden fence. Beadwork covers the houses, the balloons, the laundry and the flowers, while the sky stays as print on the canvas, which makes the town's silhouette read especially clearly. At the bottom right a paved path leads to the violet house, with flower beds on either side.
