Description

“Spring treasures” is a sampler of nine spring scenes gathered into one square composition. Every cell is a small separate story about a garden waking up after winter.

What the picture shows

Top left, a butterfly rests on a sprig of pink heather; next to it cream and pink roses stand on a shelf, and on the right a ladybird crawls across a green strawberry leaf. Below are three Easter eggs painted in white and lilac, and under them open lilac crocuses with yellow centres. The middle and right side hold a garden corner: a wrought-iron scroll, a metal watering can, red tulips and a spray of yellow daffodils, with a woven basket of strawberries and loose berries below. A border of strawberry flowers and fruit runs along the bottom. The background is built from checkered terracotta and cream tiles and stays as print, while beads cover the flowers, berries, butterfly and objects.
