Main Bead Embroidery Kit Berehynia
Description
“Berehynia” shows a winged figure in blue and violet robes bending over two children in a flowering meadow. The whole piece is worked in a folk decorative style.
What the picture shows
Berehynia stands at the centre, her face lowered, her hands stretched out above a boy and a girl. Her robe and headscarf are covered with small flowers and dots, and her large wings are built from floral rosettes in blue, lilac, white and orange. The boy, in a green-and-turquoise jumper and striped trousers, stands beside the girl in a pink dress; she has fair hair and small white flowers in her hands. A dense meadow of daisies, cornflowers and grass fills the lower part, and a pale blue sky with orange sun-spirals rises above. Beadwork covers the figures, the flowers on the wings, the meadow and the spirals, while the blue ground stays as print, which makes the floral rosettes look especially raised.

The piece is vertical and asks for attention: difficulty is above average because of the sheer number of small floral details. It looks good in a living room, in a child's room, or in an interior built on Ukrainian folk motifs. The canvas can be stretched over a bar and hung gallery style, without a frame.
