Main Bead Embroidery Kit Junction

“Junction” is an abstract mosaic in which two golden-orange forms twist into a single column and rise into a burst of rays. A picture about movement and unity, assembled from thousands of coloured strokes.

What the picture shows

The whole surface is laid out in short strokes of many colours, like smalt mosaic. The background moves from deep blue and violet at the bottom to turquoise and pale blue at the top, flecked with green, pink and white. The central figure is warm by contrast: ochre, copper, orange and gold. It is broad at the base, where it reads like flame, narrows towards the middle, twists into a double spiral, and opens near the top edge into a fan of pink, white and yellow rays. Those rays run diagonally to the corners, so the eye travels from bottom to top. Beads sit in dense rows across the entire surface, on the figure and on the mosaic background alike, so the finished piece shimmers and shifts in tone with the light. There is no separate chart to keep in view: every colour transition is already printed on the canvas, so the work is simply to follow it bead by bead.
