Main Bead Embroidery Kit Cock-a-doodle-doo!

“Cock-a-doodle-do!” is a festive decorative bird put together from a dozen colours at once. The subject has a clear folk character: a rooster, a fence, sunflowers and ornament.

What the picture shows

The rooster stands in profile in the middle of the canvas and fills almost the whole field. His breast and neck are golden orange, the wing is laid out in rows of red, turquoise, green and blue beads, the tail curls upward in dark red and emerald feathers, and the comb and wattles are bright red. The bird perches on the rail of a fence painted with green and white diamonds. Two large sunflowers with orange petals and dark centres blaze in the lower right, next to a round rosette medallion. In the top left a blue-and-turquoise ornament recalls a spread peacock tail, and an orange lily motif is laid out in the lower left. The cream background with its thin scrolls stays as print, so the beaded areas read all the more clearly.
