Main Bead Embroidery Kit Warm night

“Warm night” shows an evening street in a southern town, flooded with the gold of lamps and shop windows; the air is still warm and the outdoor tables are far from empty.

What the picture shows

On the right stands a tall arcaded building with café windows glowing beneath the arches and a striped blue-and-red awning open above the entrance. Dark figures of guests sit and stand by the tables, with shrubs nearby and a lilac cluster of wisteria hanging overhead. To the left, beyond a low parapet, a bell tower and a row of houses are mirrored in the water. The whole lower half is wet paving worked in lilac, pink and gold strokes, and these reflections give the picture its depth. The palette rests on warm lamplight meeting the cold blue-violet of the night; the beads cover the lanterns, walls, greenery and the trails of light on the stone. Small details such as signboards, window frames and the curly crowns of the trees are worked out separately and do not get lost even from a distance.
