“Gods' garden-1” is a narrow vertical panel shaped like an arch: a flowering corner of an old park with a stone vase and a balustrade. The mood is quiet and morning-like, with a light mist in the depth.

What the picture shows

The shape of the picture repeats an arch, and inside it the composition grows from the bottom upwards. In front are generous flowers: orange and yellow marigolds and dahlias, white and pink blooms, small blue dots among dense greenery. On the left a golden-ochre stone vase stands on a low plinth; behind the flowers you can make out steps, a balustrade and distant trees, and higher still a pale sky with clouds and the faint dark shape of a sculpture. At the bottom right there is another light-coloured vase. The beads cover the flowers, the greenery, the vases and the lines of the balustrade, while the sky, the trees and the misty depth of the park stay as print on the canvas, so the flower bed steps forward.

The piece is very narrow and tall, so it fills a wall pier or a space beside a door, and it also groups into a pair or a set of three with the other panels in the series. Gallery finishing is possible — no frame or mount needed, the canvas stretches over a bar and hangs as it is.
