Main Bead Embroidery Kit Fidelity lights

“Fidelity lights” shows a white swan on dark water lifting its wings in a cloud of spray. The work is built on the contrast between the deep blue background and the pearly glow of the bird itself.

What the picture shows

The swan is turned side on with its neck slightly curved; its beak, dark at the base, is the only truly deep accent in the centre. The wings are raised: the left one opens upwards like a wide fan, the right one falls in a cascade of feathers down towards the water. Spray rises all around the bird — small bright specks scattered across the whole deep blue background, turning the movement into something close to fireworks. The plumage is not only white: gold, lilac, blue and pink shimmer run through it, so the bird looks lit from within. The beads cover the swan, the spray and the reflections on the water, while the night-blue background stays as print on the canvas — and that is exactly what makes the stitched part glow.
