Main Bead Embroidery Kit Cornucopia
Description
“Cornucopia” is a decorative autumn subject: pumpkins, squashes, pears, grapes and apples spill from a large patterned horn, with two birds perched on a twig above them. This is not an ordinary still life but a stylised composition with firm outlines, close in feel to stained glass.
What the picture shows
The work runs on a warm autumn range — orange, terracotta, ochre and mustard — with deep purple grapes and green pumpkins set against it. Large sunflowers with patterned centres turn on both sides, an arch with a decorative lock crowns the top, and a wide border of maple leaves frames the scene, closing with a black-and-white chequer along the bottom. Beads cover the fruit, the sunflowers, the birds and the brightest parts of the ornament, while the leafy background and part of the border stay as print on the artist canvas so the composition never becomes crowded. The small colour inlays on the horn itself — dots of blue, green and red — take attention, but they give that part a real stained-glass sparkle.

This is the largest and most detailed of the autumn subjects: a horizontal format half a metre wide that asks for space above a dresser, in a dining room or in a kitchen-living room. The decorative manner goes well with wooden furniture and folk textiles. Gallery finishing is possible — the canvas stretches over a bar with no frame or mount.
