Main bead embroidery kits Japan style – 1
Description
“Japan style – 1” shows two Japanese cranes on a green bank beneath a pine branch, with a large red sun setting behind them. It is a narrow vertical panel in the Eastern manner.
What the picture shows
The birds stand side by side: one stretches its neck up with its beak open, the other leans forward. The plumage is beaded in white and pearly grey, the wings and tails are black, and each bird wears a red cap on its head — the unmistakable mark of the red-crowned crane. Their thin dark legs stand right in the thick green grass, worked in small stitches. Across the top runs a pine branch with tufts of dark green needles, and through it shines a large red sun crossed by horizontal bands of cloud. The background is an even golden-yellow light with no detail, and it stays as print on the canvas; the beadwork goes into the birds, the branch, the grass and the sun.
