Main Bead Embroidery Kit Azalea

“Azalea” shows a pink azalea in a terracotta pot standing on a striped blue sill beside a window. It is a small, light still life with its own beaded border running round the edge.

What the picture shows

The little bush is covered in pink flowers with dark centres, and the leaves are small and juicy green. The pot is plain earthenware, beaded in warm ochre-orange with a shadow down one side. The sill is laid out in broad stripes of turquoise, blue and white, with a blue wooden panel visible beneath it. On the right, a white sky glows in a window with an orange frame. One blossom has fallen onto the surface next to the pot. The border around the picture is beaded in diamonds of pink, lilac, white and yellow, with dark blue squares at the corners — it frames the scene in beadwork alone, with no moulding. The wall behind the window stays as print on the canvas.
