Main Bead Embroidery Kit Kaleidoscope

“Kaleidoscope” is a night city after rain, painted in thick strokes, where the colours really do assemble the way they do in a kaleidoscope.

What the picture shows

At the lower left a couple under an umbrella walks along a wet embankment, and blue, yellow and red reflections tremble in the puddles at their feet. On the right stands a tall lamp post with three white globes, and behind it a two-storey building glows with yellow windows. The top of the picture is filled with foliage: red, orange, lilac and blue patches of leaves against a deep blue sky. A pale tree trunk cuts diagonally across the whole frame. Beadwork covers the lamps, the leaves, the windows, the figures and the reflections on the paving, while the loose strokes of sky and walls stay as print — which keeps the painterly texture of the original. The branches over the couple are studded with small beads like raindrops, and large red blossoms burn just above the trunk. Behind the lamp on the right stands another row of trees, and the yellow windows double themselves in the wet paving.
