Description

“Flashbacks” shows a young woman in an armchair by a window, with a night city and a great cathedral beyond it. The mood is thoughtful, the pause at the end of a day.

What the picture shows

She sits with her legs drawn up in a soft grey armchair with broad arms, one hand raised to her face, her gaze on the window. She wears a short dress in deep raspberry with a ribbed knitted texture — the brightest patch in the picture. On the left the window opens onto a city panorama with a cathedral dome, a dark blue stormy sky and two small figures on a balcony. The room wall is dark green, scattered with golden rays and thin branches worked in beads with a metallic sheen. Beads cover the dress, the armchair, the window view and the golden accents on the walls, while the skin, hair and part of the background stay as print. Fifteen colours hold the contrast of raspberry, grey and deep blue.
