Description

“Pisces” shows two fish circling toward one another. The piece is calm and worked in a green and turquoise range.

What the picture shows

The fish face opposite ways and together create a closed movement inside the ring. Their bodies are beaded in green and emerald, the scales laid in fine rows with pink and cherry accents, and the fins and tails open into wide fans with thin veining. The eyes are dark with a white rim. A round medallion with the Pisces glyph sits between them on a light green ground, with small yellow and pearl rosettes scattered nearby. The background is printed on the canvas: blurred shifts of blue, turquoise and green like deep water. Beadwork covers the fish, the medallion and the double green ring.
