Description

“Scorpio” shows a green scorpion with a raised tail inside a cool turquoise circle. The piece is graphic and tightly composed.

What the picture shows

The figure runs diagonally across the circle: a segmented tail rises and arches over the back, broad claws spread below, and the legs curl in smooth arcs. The shell is beaded in emerald, grass and lime tones, overlaid with a zigzag of yellow and white beads, and a pale pearl inset marks the back. A medallion with the Scorpio glyph sits on the left inside a yellow-green disc, with small clear bubble-like beads on the right. The background is printed on the canvas: blurred shifts of turquoise, blue and green. The ring around the composition is beaded in dense green and closes the drawing firmly.
