Main Bead Embroidery Kit Mountain river

“Mountain river” is a snug house in the hills, reached by a wooden bridge over a stream. The windows are already lit, while the sky above the ridge still holds a pink trace of sunset.

What the picture shows

On the right stands a two-storey house with a stone chimney and a dark roof; a tree with red leaves has spread against the wall and flowering shrubs grow under the windows. On the left a waterfall breaks through the greenery, dropping over several ledges into a stream of blue and white foam. A wooden bridge with railings crosses the water, and a boat lies pulled up on the bank at the lower right. Above are hazy mountains and tall dark firs. The tree on the left is covered in orange berries, and white and red flowers line the path. The beadwork is densest on the water, the roof, the canopies and the flowers, while the sky with its pink and lilac clouds stays as print on the canvas, so the far distance stays soft and the foreground comes out dense and textured. The warm light in the windows is the brightest point of the whole composition.
