Main Bead Embroidery Kit Autumn Kaleidoscope

“Autumn Kaleidoscope” is a panorama of a city street at the height of golden autumn: a row of trees in crimson and orange above pale buildings, wet cobbles and fallen leaves underfoot.

What the picture shows

The composition is stretched horizontally and reads as one long look down the street. The canopies take up almost the whole upper half: they are beaded in a warm range from orange to cherry and terracotta, in small separate patches, so the foliage looks dense and full of movement. Below are two-storey houses with white shutters, a stone balustrade, black lamp posts and a few small figures of passers-by. On the left, the spire of a tall building shows through the haze. The pavement is light with a pink cast and drifts of fallen leaves; the sky stays almost white and is left unbeaded — that contrast is exactly what makes the canopies glow. The finer facade detail is carried by the print, while the beadwork picks out the trees, the leaves and the lamps.
