Main Bead Embroidery Kit Snow Carnival

“Snow Carnival” is a city square on a pre-Christmas evening: a huge decorated tree with a gold star, a couple on a bench seen from behind and a black terrier at their feet. The picture is built on the deep blue and turquoise light of a winter dusk.

What the picture shows

On the right a Christmas tree rises the full height of the canvas, wound with red ribbons and strings of lights and topped with a large star. Behind it the long facade of an old building glows with yellow windows picked out in small strokes. On the left stands a tall lamp with a blue shade that throws a cold patch of light across the snow. In the foreground the couple lean together on a bench; the man wears a white sweater and a red scarf. Further right, people walk along the street — a woman in a long dress, a child, a man in a black coat — each casting a long blue shadow. The snow is beaded in white and pale blue, while the shadows and the sky remain largely as print.
