Main Bead Embroidery Kit Fabulous Evening

“Fabulous Evening” shows a snowy old town late in the evening: two tall houses with warm light in the windows, a wrought-iron lantern by the road, a stone bridge over the river and bullfinches on a branch below. The narrow vertical carries the eye from the tiled roofs down to the water.

What the picture shows

At the top are brick facades with bay windows, white shutters and a Christmas wreath on the door; two small figures stand near the bridge. On the right a large street lamp glows with orange glass, and beside it a fir tree loaded with snow runs the full height of the piece. Lower down, an arched bridge crosses turquoise water where the window lights are reflected in long strokes. In the bottom third three bullfinches with red breasts sit on bare branches — the warmest note in an otherwise cold blue and turquoise range. The snowflakes, windows, water and birds are beaded, so they sit raised and catch the light, while parts of the sky and the dark stonework stay as print on the canvas.
