Main Bead Embroidery Kit Church

“Church” shows the winter courtyard of a large church complex with blue domes covered in gold stars. Snow lies in an even layer across the square, and a decorated fir tree stands in the middle of it — the whole scene rests on that festive quiet before dawn.

What the picture shows

At the centre is a white stone cathedral with blue cupolas and gold crosses; several more buildings with gold and blue domes crowd in on the right, while a small chapel and a fence stand on the left. In front of the church spreads a snow-covered square with lamp posts and a few dark figures of passers-by. A bare tree with thin branches enters the frame on the left, with a frozen watercourse and drifts below. The sky is pale blue with soft clouds. Beads cover the walls, the domes, the fir tree, the trees and the shadows on the snow, while the sky itself and part of the snowy square stay as print on the canvas, which keeps the snow powdery rather than glossy.
