Main Bead Embroidery Kit Autumn Poetry

“Autumn Poetry” is a panorama of an old city street after rain, held in a single amber key. Everything from the sky to the cobbles glows a warm honey gold, as though the picture had been assembled from thin plates of amber.

What the picture shows

Two-storey mansions with columns and balconies line the street, trees with dense russet foliage rise between them, and in the distance on the left stand a domed building and a slender spire beside it. The road is wet: trunks, façades and the figures of passers-by with umbrellas are reflected in it in long streaks. The people are small and dark, and they give the street its scale. The palette is deliberately narrow — ochre, honey, terracotta, deep brown and a little white on the walls. Beads cover the canopies, the façades and the reflections on the cobbles, while the sky and the far perspective stay as print on the canvas, which makes the gold of the beadwork read even brighter.
