Main Bead Embroidery Kit Window to Paris

“Window to Paris” shows a woman in a red dress standing with her back to the viewer at a window, the Eiffel Tower visible beyond it. The moment is quiet and a little pensive — she is simply looking at the city.

What the picture shows

The dress is the main colour mass: deep red with a golden pattern scattered across the skirt and bodice, and a black velvet band on the sleeve. Her hair is pinned up high with a silver band glinting in it. Heavy drapes with a large gold-brown damask design frame the picture on both sides. Through the window opening are blue sky and the tower's silhouette. Beads cover the dress, the hair, the curtain pattern and the balcony rail, while the tower and the sky stay as painted print on the canvas. One of her hands is raised to her face, the other hangs at her side. A wrought-iron rail with large scrolls runs across the bottom of the frame in dark beads, and on the right the dress falls in a wide fold to the very edge.
